I am a Woodworker who takes great pleasure in creating something beautiful and useful from material that would probably otherwise be used as firewood. I work almost exclusively with trees grown locally, particularly on the Nanoose Peninsula.  Most of my pieces are made from Bigleaf Maple and Arbutus but I am happy to work with most other hardwoods. My raw material comes primarily from people who have had a tree blown down or otherwise removed from their property.  I am more than happy to reward them with a nice bowl or two in return for the rest of the wood.
