My name is Cynthia Frenette and I’m a creative designer, licensed illustrator, and artist based in Nanoose Bay, British Columbia, Canada.

I’ve been in the art industry full-time since 1991, and licensing my work since 2017.

I started my career in graphic design and over the years have expanded into illustration and licensing my work with my agent all over the world. My work has been featured on everything from puzzles, to greeting cards, giftware, fabric, children’s books, and everything in between!

I work in mixed media, paint, and whatever catches my interest and works for my ideas at the moment.

My work has been featured in several group shows and one solo show at the Rock Family Gallery in Mission, BC, and I participate in several in-person art markets throughout the year.

I work in a few different styles and mediums, people always remark that my work is extremely colourful and happy and makes them smile- mission accomplished!

I’m inspired by bold and vivid colour, west coast scenery and nature, flowers, retro style fashion, tattoos, vintage fabrics, mid-century design, tiki & surf culture, well-established English gardens, juicy squishy paint, the beach, old movies, typography, handmade things, interesting packaging and labelling design, and thrifty treasure hunting.

When I’m not making art, you can find me (and my hubby) walking our dogs Stella and Chuck, painting, or gardening.
